An introduction to Operational Equipment
The category covers all equipment that is carried on incident response vehicles as well as foam, medical equipment, specialist team equipment (e.g. Technical Rescue/Hazmat), and welfare. It also covers smoke alarms for Safe and Well Checks, training equipment and services such as scientific testing, hose testing, etc.
The national framework for ladders is progressing well. There is a slight revision in the timetable for the project, details of which can be found below;
- Clarifications shared with suppliers 30th Jan
- Clarification response deadline for suppliers 12pm 3rd Feb
- Clarification moderation meeting 22nd Feb
- Outcome letters to suppliers 6th March
- Standstill period 6th March – 17th March
- Letter of award to successful supplier 20th March
The interest in this project from across the sector continues to grow which is encouraging.
